LOCAL JOBS WILL CURB MISTREÀTMENT IN THE GULF NATION.
The search for greener pastures is what makes Kenyans leave the country to go look for jobs elsewhere.
In as much as it is a job hunt, this is also brain drain in its entirety.
The department of immigration records that at least 17,000 Kenyans immigrate to the oil rich Saudi Arabia.
Of this number, the highest move there to work as domestic workers.
Most of them have been complaining of mistreatment and harassment from their employers with others even being killed.
Unfortunately, nothing substantial has been done to rectify this mess as most of our girls are being killed in the gulf.
The lack of job opportunities is what makes them risk their lives to go work in the Arabic countries.
Creating more job opportunities especially for the youth will help avert this crisis as most of them will be employed locally.
Setting up industries can be one way to achieving job security for our youths and therefore the government should avail a favourable environment for industrialization.
The government can also provide interest free loans to the youth as a way of raising capital for business ventures.
These loans should be crafted in a manner that's will be fair to all and not just provided to a few elites of the government.
